Healthy Homemade Snickers Date Bars

Equipment

  • Pot Or double Boiler
  • Glass bowl omit if using double boiler
  • Parchment Paper
  • Rubber Spatula

Ingredients

  • 20 Medjool Dates pitted and soft
  • 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter or other nut butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or any nut works
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp coconut oil
  • pinch flaky salt or any salt

Instructions

  • Slice dates open long wise, and remove the pits (if not already pitted)
    pitted and sliced in half, medjool dates on a piece of white parchment paper
  • Smash dates with bottom of glass or mallet onto lined baking pan
  • Drizzle peanut butter all over dates
    Medjool dates with drizzled natural peanut button on top of bleached parchment paper
  • Use double boiler or glass bowl over boiling pot of water to slowly melt chocolate chips
  • Add coconut oil to melted chocolate and combine
  • Pour melted chocolate on top of the date and peanut mixture
  • Sprinkle with salt and nuts

  • Freeze for 35 minutes, until the chocolate is set
