Welcome to the Very First Naturally Nourished Family Blog Post
I’m already living naturally
Starting this blog has been on my heart for some time. I kept telling myself I didn’t have the capacity to add anything new to my already full plate—but then I realized, I’m already living this life. Why not document it, snap a few photos along the way, and share what I’ve learned with the world? Update: This project turned out to be way more work than expected, but it I am really enjoying it.
What “Naturally Nourished” Means to Me
Being naturally nourished isn’t just about eating wholesome food (though that’s definitely a big part of it). To me, it means feeling nurtured in every area of life—our health, families, relationships, and even the hobbies that light us up.
I’m sure this blog will evolve right alongside me, but for now, here’s what you can expect to find here:
- Homesteading: Our journey restoring an old farm back to life and the practical farming skills we are learning along the way.
- Wholefood Recipes: Simple, wholefood meals that nourish body and soul.
- Family Life: What my family is loving and what’s working for us in our daily rhythms.
- Natural Products: What my family actually uses on our home and body and where to find it (if I don’t include a recipe to make it yourself).
Why Write This Blog?
So… what credentials do I have to be writing this blog?
Well, I’ve been walking this path for years.
Navigating my own health challenges pushed me to dig deeper than what I had been doing. I became a certified Health Coach, completed Wholefood Chef Training, bought a farm—and I haven’t stopped learning since. Every day is a new opportunity to learn and grow.
Then came kids, and that added a whole new layer to the journey. Every Mama Bear knows that once you have a child, your drive to protect and nourish goes into overdrive. My natural living research shifted into high gear—and now I’m here to share everything I’ve learned (and continue to learn).
One of the most powerful shifts for our family has been growing our own food. There’s something deeply empowering about planting a seed, nurturing it, and then feeding your family with what you’ve grown. It gives us control over what we eat and peace of mind knowing exactly where our food comes from. Gardening and raising animals have become both a passion and a practical way to nourish our bodies and connect with nature.
Let’s Just Begin
I often wait until everything feels “perfect” before sharing anything—but honestly, I don’t think I’d ever reach that point. I’m not perfect, and that’s okay. None of us are. So here I am, showing up as I am, and seeing where this adventure takes me.
